Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Fricam mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”) provided by Tolga Gezginis (“Service Provider”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

About Fricam

Fricam is a companion application for viewing and interacting with compatible, user-configured Frigate installations. A compatible Frigate server and network connection are required outside the built-in demo mode. Fricam is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Frigate project.

Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your country to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

License

Subject to these Terms and the applicable app store rules, the Service Provider grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Fricam mobile application on devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract its source code except where applicable law expressly permits it.

Your Systems and Responsibilities

You are responsible for the Frigate servers, cameras, networks, credentials, addresses, and other systems you connect to Fricam. You must have authorization to access every system and video feed you configure. You are also responsible for securing your devices, server, network, and remote-access configuration, maintaining appropriate backups, and complying with laws that apply to surveillance, recording, audio, privacy, and data protection.

Acceptable Use

You may not use the Services to violate any law or another person’s rights; gain unauthorized access to systems, devices, or video feeds; stalk, harass, exploit, or unlawfully monitor another person; interfere with the Services or related infrastructure; distribute malware; or bypass technical restrictions intended to protect the Services.

Safety and Monitoring

Fricam is not an emergency service, alarm monitoring service, or life-safety system. Notifications, streams, recordings, detections, and remote connections may be delayed, interrupted, incomplete, or unavailable. Do not rely on the Services as the sole means of protecting people, property, or critical systems, or for contacting emergency services.

Purchases

Some features require Fricam Pro, offered as a one-time in-app purchase. Purchases are processed by the app store associated with your device, and its payment, billing, cancellation, and refund rules apply. The Service Provider does not receive or store your payment card details. Features included with Fricam Pro may evolve as the Services are improved, subject to applicable law.

Third-Party Services

The Services may interoperate with or link to third-party products and services, including Frigate, app stores, Firebase, and RevenueCat. Those products and services are governed by their own terms and policies. The Service Provider does not control and is not responsible for third-party products, services, availability, or content.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, shared, and retained when you use the Services.

Intellectual Property

The Services, including the Fricam name, icon, software, design, and original content, are owned by the Service Provider or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. These Terms do not grant you rights to use Fricam branding except as necessary to use the Services.

Availability and Changes

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Services to improve functionality, address security or legal requirements, or respond to technical and business needs. We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available on every device, operating system, network, or Frigate version.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every configuration. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service Provider will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, recordings, revenue, profits, or access arising from your use of or inability to use the Services. The Service Provider’s total liability relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid for the Services during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.

Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create a security or legal risk, or misuse the Services. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual-property, warranty, liability, and governing-law provisions—will remain in effect.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and, where required by law, additional notice or consent will be provided. Your continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections and any rights you have to bring a claim in your country of residence remain unaffected.
